Carrot Cake-5

Ingredients

Makes 1 servings (Increase/Decrease).
  • 2 cup · All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoon · Baking Powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon · Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon · Salt
  • 2 teaspoon · Cinnamon
  • 2 cup · Sugar
  • 4/1 · Eggs
  • 1 cup · Oil
  • 2 cup · Carrots -- grated
  • 8 oz · Can Crushed Pineapple
  • ½ cup · Walnuts
  • 8 oz · Cream Cheese -- softened
  • ¼ cup · Butter
  • ¾ cup · Powdered Sugar

Directions


  • 1 Cake: Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, sugar. Add eggs, oil, carrot, pineapple/with juice from can, nuts. Pour into well greased oblong baking pan. Bake 40-45 min at 350°F.
  • 2 Frosting: Mix softened cream cheese, softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add a little milk if desired. Spread frosting on top of cooled cake.
  • 3 I got this wonderful recipe from a co-worker of mine. You can cut the fat content by substituting equal amounts of applesauce for all or part of the oil.
Ingredients
Makes 20 servings (Increase/Decrease).
Preparation time is 45 min

    1 teaspoon • vanilla
    1 cup • buttermilk
    1 teaspoon • salt
    2 ½ cup • cake flour
    ½ pound • butter
    2 oz • red food color
    2 tablespoon • cocoa
    2/1 • eggs
    ½ teaspoon • baking soda
    2 tablespoon • vinegar
    1 cup • sugar


Directions

    1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2 Beat eggs and add sugar.
    3 Mix cocoa and food color.
    4 Add butter and egg mixture, mix well.
    5 Sift flour and salt together.
    6 Add creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    7 Blend in vanilla.
    8 In a small bowl combine baking soda and vinegar, then add to mixture.
    9 Pour into three 8- inch round greased and floured pans. Or a bunt cake pan.
    10 Bake for 20-25 mins.


Banana Split Cake
 
Ingredients
Makes 6 servings (Increase/Decrease).

    1 packages • cake mix -- yellow
    1 • 3 oz. package French Vanilla instant - pudding mix
    1 cup • milk -- cold
    8 oz • cream cheese -- room temperature
    1 • 16 oz. can pineapple -- drained crushed
    4/1 • banana
    12 oz • whipping cream -- Cool whip or real
    1 cup • cherry -- nuts and


Directions

    1 Bake cake according to package directions, cool. Mix dry pudding mix and cream cheese until well mixed. Add milk, a little at a time, until smooth. Spread pudding over cake, cover with drained pineapple. Cut bananas lengthwise and place over pineapple. Cover this with cool whip and top with cherries and nuts.
    2 ****Bake cake in a large pan and leave in the pan in order to keep all the toppings on the cake.

Quick BLT remixed toasted sandwich

 

Ingredients
Makes 3 servings (Increase/Decrease).
Preparation time is 6 min

    ½ packages • bacon
    6 slice • bread, large, toasted
    ¼ pound • black forest ham and mesquite turkey mix or any sandwich meat
    3 slice • cheese, I use Swiss or American.


Directions

    1 cook the bacon with preferably a stove to your liking.
    2 Toast the bread; you can use the toaster or use this step last if you use the stove
    3 Add your condiments! I use mayonnaise, mustard, and pickle. Add your vegetables here too. You can use lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.
    4 add the cheese and put the hot bacon on the cheese to have it melt a tad. You should now have an amazing BLT remixed sandwich!
    5 this recipe is great if you make a whole package of bacon and only need half! Serve with a side of chips, salad, beans, or fries/potatoes







Flora's Simple Deviled Eggs

 

Ingredients

    1 dozen • Large Eggs
    ½ cup • Mayo
    1 tablespoon • Mustard
    1 dash • of salt
    1 • Paprika


Directions

    1 Boil eggs in salted water
    2 Allow eggs to cool and peel them, I place them back in the container
    3 Cut eggs Lengthwise
    4 Pop the yolk out of the egg onto a plate.
    5 Mash the yolks up as fine as you can to avoid lumps.
    6 Add egg mixture to a mixing bowl with the mayo and mustard. *if you find the consistency not to be creamy enough you can add more mayo, or if you think it’s too tangy for your tastes* mix together. I always taste test at this point to make sure doesn't need more mustard or mayo.
    7 Spoon into your eggs
    8 Sprinkle with paprika *optional*
    9 **Get creative...you can add loads of toppings. Onions, pickles, relish, olives. I have a friend make them with bacon, onion, and tomato.








Egg Fried Rice


Ingredients
Makes 4 servings (Increase/Decrease).

    3/1 • Eggs
    1 teaspoon • Salt
    2/1 • Scallions, finely chopped
    2 tablespoon • (to 3T) vegetable oil
    1 pound • Cooked rice
    4 oz • Green peas


Directions

    1 In a bowl, lightly beat the eggs with a pinch of the salt and a few pieces of scallion.
    2 Heat oil in a preheated wok, and lightly scramble the eggs.
    3 Add the rice and stir to make sure that each grain of rice is separated.
    4 Add the remaining salt, scallions, and the peas.
    5 Blend well and serve.

The Perfect Purple Smoothie


Ingredients
Makes 2 servings (Increase/Decrease).
Preparation time is 5 min

    ½ cup • Frozen Blueberries
    ⅓ Cup • Frozen Mangoes Chunks
    ¼ cup • Pineapples chunks in juice
    4/1 • Fresh Strawberries
    1 ⅓ cup • Any Milk of your choice
    3 tablespoon • Vanilla Low-fat Yogurt
    2 tablespoon • Raw Sugar


Directions

    1 Add in all of your fruit ingredients.
    2 Add sugar and yogurt after.
    3 Pour in 1 cup of your milk and begin to pulse the mix in your blender.
    4 Add the last 1/3 cup of milk if you think your smoothie is too thick, it depends on your preference.
    5 Once you have your desired consistency it is ready to serve


Magic Peanut butter Cookies


Ingredients
Makes 6 servings (Increase/Decrease).
Preparation time is 20 min

    1 cup • Peanut butter
    ¾ cup • Sugar
    1 • Egg
    1 teaspoon • Vanilla Extract


Directions

    1 Preheat oven to 350° F
    2 Combine all the ingredients.
    3 Roll the dough into balls the size of walnuts.
    4 Place the balls onto a baking sheet, then dip a fork into sugar and press a criss-cross design on each cookie.
    5 Bake for about 12 min. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
    6 Makes about 15 cookies.
